Is There A Best Exercise To Lose Weight?

By Shana Taylor

In order to get the most of your weight loss program, regular exercise should be incorporated into your lifestyle. When it comes to exercise for weight loss many people do not know where to begin.

If you ask a thousand people what is the best exercise to lose weight you will get a variety of different answers. The right combination of exercises can vary from person to person depending on factors like age, gender, medical conditions and overall health.

With that said, following are three simple exercises that have been proven to help reduce weight when used on a consistent basis.

A Brisk Walk

Walking is a simple exercise that offers many benefits.

When walking, wear comfortable shoes that provide your feet with support.

If you are just starting to exercise, dont overdo it. Walk as far as you can the first day and try to make it a little bit further each day thereafter. Eventually you will get to a point where you can walk several miles in record time.

Not only does walking aid in weight loss it can also help improve your health by lowering cholesterol and reducing your risk of heart disease.

Aerobic Exercises

Dancing is an activity that most people enjoy and it is a great way to burn calories and shed pounds. Aerobic dance routines come in a wide variety from Latin dance routines to hip hop dance. The number of calories you burn will depend on the intensity of the workout.

Engaging in aerobic dance routines on a consistent basis will help improve your cardiovascular health, improve blood pressure and increase mental alertness.

When using aerobics as part of an exercise routine you should target at least thirty minutes per session three days or more per week.

Swimming

Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do to build muscle, improve cardio vascular health and lose weight.

Swimming works a wide range of muscles in the upper and lower body which makes it an ideal exercise for weight loss and health.

For better and faster results add in a healthy meal plan to complement your exercise routine.

One thing you should always remember when exercising is to start your routine with some warm up exercises and end your routine with exercises to cool your body down.

Anyone of these exercises can be an instrumental part of your weight loss plan when used on a regular basis.

While any exercise is better than none, the best exercise to lose weight is the one you enjoy and produces the results you desire.

Before beginning a weight loss plan discuss it with your physician to be certain it is safe for you.
